Tyne and Wear has a large transport system including a bus network, Metro and an international airport. In this session, students will learn about how transport has changed over time by exploring the galleries of the Discovery Museum. The Children will investigate materials and have the opportunity to do an observational drawing in the gallery. The class will then have the opportunity to consider which materials would be the most suitable for making an air-powered vehicle in a group-making challenge.

* some of the content between Rocket Car Racers, Transport: Past and Present and Stephenson's Rocket are similar. We don't recommend that groups book more than one of these sessions.
