We had our best week ever of giving during Donations Challenge Week, so thank you for donating. Your donations will help us run the fun-fulled activities during school holidays and protect the future of Discovery Museum.

Now we have a new challenge for you...can you help us raise some eggs-tra cash this Easter?

As a thank you for any donations this Easter weekend, we'll be giving children free mini Easter eggs.

Did you know Discovery Museum is sustained by your donations? In 2016/17, one third of our income will come from shop sales, donations and venue hire fees.

Currently only a small number of our visitors leave a donation, which averages at roughly 8p per person visiting.

Please dig deep and donate what you can as it makes a huge difference.

There are a number of ways to support us when you visit,

• leave a donation in one of our donation boxes in the museum
• text TWAM12 £3 to 70070 (you can donate from £1 up to £10)
• use your debit or credit card in our museum shop. (We even accept cheques)
• click the 'donate' tab at the top of the page
• call (0191) 277 2172 and we'll talk you through your donation.
