The renowned equality campaigner and humanitarian, Dr Hari Shukla CBE asks you to help Discovery Museum.

On 5 January 2018 Dr Shukla was named the first ever Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums Ambassador for Diversity and Inclusion in recognition of his notable partnership with Discovery Museum, and for his enduring commitment to promoting museums as places of tolerance, learning and community belonging.

To mark the occasion, Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums have set up this new fund to support the development of Discovery Museum’s diversity and inclusion programme and underpin the vital work which helps to keep the museum free to all.

The Dr Hari Shukla Fund will support skilled members of staff to deliver exhibitions and events, give more children the opportunity to learn and explore and build new partnerships with local communities.
