Join us at Discovery Museum to celebrate our new temporary exhibition Spirit of Invention from The National Archives.
This new exhibition was inspired by some of the thousands of creative designs registered with the Board of Trade from 1839 onwards which are housed at The National Archives.
The North East is home to many amazing inventions including Joseph Swans lightbulb, Gladstone Adams windscreen wiper and William Armstrong's Hydroelectric machine.
To investigate the ingenuity of the North East we will be offering the following workshops:
Big 5 Inventors Tours- Ks1/2- 60 minutes- £60
Building Bridges- Ks1/2- 90 minutes- £110
Transport Past and Present- Ks1/2- 90 minutes- £110
Lightbulbs and Circuits- Ks2- 90 minutes- £110
Stephenson's Rocket and the Rainhill Trials- Ks1/2- 90 minutes- £110
Let's Visit the Museum- EYFS- 60 minutes- £90
Beep Beep- EYFS- 60 minutes- £90
